FELTON Ryan Lee Thompson, 17, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at home. Born on October 27, 1995 in York, he was the son of Randy Lee Thompson and Shelly J. (Orwig) Thompson of Felton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown. Rev. Barry C. Robison will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Ryan was a Junior at Red Lion High School, where he played Junior Varsity Baseball in 2011 and 2012. He also played baseball for Red Lion American Legion's Junior and Senior teams, and Men's Rec Softball in York. Ryan loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and loved doing stunts on his four-wheeler. He and his Dad shared a passion for automotive restoration and were restoring a 1979 Ford pick-up. He will be sadly missed by all those who crossed his path. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmothers, Nancy Unger and Lottie Thompson, both of Stewartstown; his aunt and uncle, Bridget and Dwayne Eckrote of Stewartstown; his great aunt and uncle, Joan and Larry Orwig of Shrewsbury, and several cousins.
