Rosenberry YORK Sterling Eugene Rosen-berry was welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord on January 13, 2013 at the York Hospital. He was the husband of 60 years to Dorothy (Gorsuch) Rosenberry. Born in Hanover, on July 6, 1932, he was the son of the late William and Emma (Stambaugh) Small and the late John and Katherine Rosenberry of York, his adopted parents of over 70 years. Sterling was manager at the Pittman Corporation, later AB Chance in York, for over 39 years. Later he was purchasing manager for York Waste and part time employee with Quality Care ambulance service. Sterling will be remembered for his love of life and caring and compassion for others. A tougher man with a heart of gold could not be found anywhere. He was devoted to his wife and a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. In addition to his loving wife, Sterling leaves behind two sons, Timothy and his partner Bonnie Hess and John and his partner Joan Day. Sterling's legacy lives on his grandchildren, Mike, Dave and Zachary Rosenberry and a great-grandchild. He leaves behind a sister, Delores Mummert, and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Small and William Rosen-berry, and two sisters, Betty Pfeiffer and Helena Mae Small. Internment of his ashes and memoriam will take place at the convenience of the family.
