Oswandel BOULDER, CO Kenneth R. Oswandel, 44 of Boulder, Colo., formerly of York, died as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident in Boulder, Colo., on January 22, 2013. Born July 14, 1968, in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa, he was the son of Joanne (Spara) Oswandel of York and the late Edward C. Oswandel. Ken was a 1986 graduate of York Suburban High School and a graduate of Penn State University Main Campus. He was an employee of Century Link where he served as a Sr. Planning Analyst. Ken loved the state of Colorado and all the amenities that it had to offer outdoors. He loved life and spent time, hiking, skiing, snowboarding and spending time with his many friends. In addition to his mother, Ken is survived by a brother, Ed Oswandel and his wife, Pam of York and their daughters, Kelsey and Lauren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday January 31, 2013, at St. Joseph Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York, with the Rev. Dennis Klemash, OFM Cap., officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Visitations will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph Church.
