OCALA, FL Jacob "Jake" Howard Rudisill, 94, passed away in Ocala, Fla., on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Sylvia's Hospice House. He was born December 12, 1918 in York, to parents Minnie May (Auchey) and Howard L. Rudisill, and had been a resident of Rolling Green Community in Ocala since 1989. On February 4, 1942, he married Thelma Weichert at Grace Methodist Church in York. Jake was an Industrial Purchasing Agent for a Metal Office Equipment Manufacturer and had served with Navy Intelligence in Panama and Charleston, South Carolina during WWII. He loved golfing and bowling until he could no longer participate in these sports which wasn't too many years ago. Jake also enjoyed playing cards with his friends from the Rolling Green Community. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Thelma; daughter, Patricia Wax (Ralph) of Newville; son, Michael Rudisill (Nancy) of Milton; sister, Dorcas Bernheisel (Reverend John) of York; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one brother, Ammon D. Rudisill. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be in the Veteran section of Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
