YORK Claire L. Chronister, 82, entered into rest on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Melvin L. Chronister, Jr. Born July 26, 1930, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Annie E. (Harlacher) Brenneman. Claire was a homemaker and member of St. Paul's Red Run United Church of Christ, East Berlin. She is survived by a daughter, Carol L. Chronister of York; two sons, Kenneth L. Chronister of York and Robert L. Chronister of Wrightsville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Jean E. Runkle and Ruth Anna Leas. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Claire's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Red Run Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Sheresa A. Simpson-Rice. Memorial contributions may be made to the , 3544 N.
