SAGINAW James E. Krebs, 93, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Colonial Manor in York. He was the husband of Lucille (Frye) Krebs, who died on February 16, 1994. Mr. Krebs was born January 18, 1920, in Springettsbury Township, and was the son of the late James William and Julia (Shermeyer) Krebs. He graduated in 1936 from Manchester High School, Manchester, and later Thompson Business School in York. He worked for J.E. Baker Company for 42 years before retiring in 1982. James proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf; American Legion Post 127; Old Timers Association of the Central York County Baseball League; Member of AAA for 64 years; Eagle Fire Company, Mount Wolf; Saginaw Cemetery Association; Saginaw Playground Association; and Saginaw Community Church. Mr. Krebs is survived by his daughter, Ann Rudisill and her husband, Barry of Mount Wolf; his two grandchildren, Rachel Clancy and her husband, Evan, and Ryan Rudisill and his wife, Trisha; his three great-grandchildren, Chase J. Rudisill, Anna J. Clancy, and Avery L. Clancy; his brother, Gary Krebs and his wife, Delores of York; and his sister, Rosetta Feese of York. James was preceded in death by his three brothers, Richard, Robert, and Ray; and his sister, Faye M. Gingerich. His funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at Saginaw Community Church, 860 Market St., Saginaw. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Saginaw Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev.
