YORK Dorothy E. Raffensberger, 88, of Manchester Township, died at 11:43 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Clair M. Raffensberger. Born August 6, 1924, in York, a daughter of the late Samuel H. and Kathryn (Fahs) Owen, she was a 1942 graduate of William Penn High School. Mrs. Raffensberger retired in 1979 from Dentsply International, where she had worked for 36 years. She was a life member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed camping while traveling throughout the United States. She was also a Hershey Bears Hockey fan and an avid bowler. In addition to her husband of nearly 67 years, Mrs. Raffensberger is survived by a sister, Carol Villarose and her husband, John of York. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Samuel H. Owen, Jr., and a nephew, John Villarose, V. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 S. George St., York, with her Interim Pastor, The Rev. Dr. J. Stewart Hardy, officiating. Viewing will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
