YORK Richard L. "Dick" Beck, 82, of West Manchester Township, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the York Hospital. He was the loving companion of the late Dorothy Dennis. He was an engineer and retired from Borg Warner. Dick was a graduate of West York Area High School and the University of Denver. He was a U.S. Marine serving during the Korean War period. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing and watching the sport. He also enjoyed going to Old Country Buffet for the food and to see the people. Born in York, on October 7, 1930, he was the son of the late Lee and Florence (Myers) Beck. He leaves a cousin, Jack Wolf of York; and his adopted family of Keith and Sandy Oberdick, Jamie and Beth Oberdick, Joyce Oberdick, and Steve and Ann Oberdick. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St. in York. The service will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery with military rites performed by the York County Veteran Honor Guard. www.rfkoller.com
