MONTELLO, WI Mr. Charles R. "Chuck" Garbe, 63, aka "Pop-Pop", passed away on Saturday May 11, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving and caring family. He was joined in marriage to his loving wife, Rhonda for over twenty years. Chuck was born on July 29, 1949, to Clarence and Phyllis (Russell) Garbe. He was a graduate of North Boone High School, class of 1967; and a graduate of Towson State University in Towson, Md. He served his country proudly as a Marine from 1968 through 1972, including an eight month assignment in Vietnam. Chuck was a faithful employee of the United States Postal Service for 40 years, where he worked in management. He had many hobbies and interests including golf and hunting. He loved being outdoors and was a loyal Chicago Bears fan. Chuck loved working on projects in the garage and competing with his kids and grandson in sports. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Montello, WI; his children, Tommy, Brandi and Ricky, all of Lombard, IL.; grandsons, Zacary also of Lombard, IL., Chip (Crystal) of Arkansas; two sisters, Shirley Midkirk of Beloit, WI and JoEllen (Jeff) Sigmund of Wisconsin Dells, WI.; and many nieces and nephews, Bobbi (Dan), Terry (Frank) Becca (Reid), Brad, Kathy, Nick, Sarah, Dalton, Holden, and JD. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donny. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. with a closing prayer service at 7 p.m. at Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1125 Cranston Rd. Beloit, WI. 53511. Pastor Roger Bond will officiate.
