Gordon P. Moul Obituary
DALLASTOWN Gordon Phillip Moul, 90, left his earthly body and went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2013, from Manor Care, Dallas-town. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothea Miesterfeld Moul; children, Gordon II and wife, Joyce McMaster Moul, Linda Moul Wert and husband, William, Gloria Moul Irvin and husband, Terry, Warren and wife, Darlene and Lynette and companion, John. He is also survived by a sister, Arlena Gross; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandsons, Michael and Daniel Boltersdorf. Gordon was born on September 2, 1922, to the late Harry and Lilly Poole Moul. He was an Army veteran, former volunteer firefighter with Pleasureville Fire Co., member of the Hawks Gun Club, a model train enthusiast and was a confirmed member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He was a retired sample maker for Cole Steel and he refused to be rushed to create something he considered to be sub-standard, from kitchen cupboards for his wife to a pool deck for his son. He built the home where his five children were raised and where he and Dorothea lived until recently. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, followed by an 11 a.m. service conducted by Rev. James A. Driskell, M.DIV of First St. John's Lutheran Church, York. Burial will follow in Mount rose Cemetery with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. "His pain has been erased. Our sadness, in time, will be replaced by fond memories. God has called him home and we will someday have a family reunion in Heaven"
