DALLASTOWN Mary C. Gdovin, 79, died at 6:25 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the wife of Joseph J. Gdovin. Born January 3, 1934, in Scranton, a daughter of the late Harry and Frances (Rooney) Conklin, she had attended William and Mary College. She was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in York, and the Catholic Women's Club of York. She had been an active volunteer in the community and most important, had been a loving mother. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gdovin is survived by two daughters, Ann L. Kessler and her husband, Tom of York, and Mary Jo Gdovin of Waukashau, Wis.; two sons, Greg Gdovin and his wife, Deb of Dillsburg, and Tom Gdovin of York; eight grandchildren, James Rodkey, J.J. Rodkey, Jonathan Rodkey, Josh Gdovin, Justin Gdovin, Jenna Gdovin, Whitney Lloyd, and Rachel Lloyd; and one great-grandson, Joey Gdovin. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 231 S. Beaver St., York, with The Rev. Samuel E. Houser as Celebrant. Viewings will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York (the former Hahn Home), and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
