YORK Gary L. Pfeiffer, 60, died at 10:32 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital. There will be no viewing. Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, a visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. with burial to be at the convenience of the family. Mr. Pfeiffer was born February 28, 1953, in York, and was the son of Gertrude Beck of Manchester and Gary Pfeiffer of Dover. He was a welder with various industries in the York area, a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War, and a member of the Prince A.A., Shiloh American Legion Post #791, and the Vagabonds of York. Mr. Pfeiffer is survived by his parents; a son, Jeffery N. Pfeiffer and wife, Kristine of York; two sisters, Mary Nace of Dover and April Edleblute of Manchester; three brothers, William and Clair Pfeiffer, both of York County, and Robert Trimmer of Manchester; a stepson, Jason Zimmerman of Portland, Ore.; two step grandchildren, Erika and Adam Lamm, both of York; mother of his son, Donna Pfeiffer; and mother of his stepsons, Terri Pfeiffer. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Matthew Zimmerman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Martin Memorial Library, 159 E.
