YORK Roy C. Hostetler, 75, died on Friday July 26, 2013, at the York Hospital. Roy was the loving husband of Nancy K. (Freese) Hostetler of York and they were married for 51 years. Roy was born in Lovington, Ill., to his parents, the late Roy C. Hostetler, Sr. and Goldie (Nichols) Hostetler. Roy was employed by the Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Decatur, Ill. and moved to the York plant in 1977 to become one of the factory managers. He held that position for 13 years. He retired from Caterpillar in 1993 with 37 years of service. He was a member of the NRA. Roy was proud of the six years he spent in the Illinois National Guard and he attended ValleyView Alliance Church. Roy was a loving husband and father. In addition to his loving wife, Roy is survived by his daughter, Tammy D. Royer of York; and a sister Barbara L. Daily and her husband Roger of Sullivan, Ill. Mr. Hostetler was preceded in death by his son, Todd Eugene and six sisters. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday August 1, 2013, at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1111 E. Market St., York. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home. Rev. Donald J. Pullen, pastor of ValleyView Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt.
