WELLINGTON, FL William "Bill" L. Thoman, 62, formerly of York, passed away at 3 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at his home in Florida. Bill was born April 10, 1951, in York, the son of the late William F. and Grace Mae (Spangler) Thoman. In 1969 he graduated from William Penn High School in York and in 1973 from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, with his degree in Business. He retired from Sales December 31, 2002 from the Airline Industry. William loved to travel all over the world and was a follower of finances and the economy. He had a heart of gold and always had concern for the less fortunate. Bill is survived by his life partner, Charles Collura of Wellington, Fla.; his three sisters, Rev. Phyllis M. Bowers and her husband Rev. Richard L. Bowers of Jacobus, Gale Creep and her husband Ray A. of Mount Wolf, Shirley Bolen of Oaklyn N.J.; many nieces and nephews; a host of friends and his beloved cat Tony who gave him many years of love and comfort. They were real buddies. His memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 11 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Springettsbury Township. Officiating at the service will be his brother-in-law, Reverend Richard Bowers from Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville. A luncheon in honor of Bill will follow the burial at the Country Club of York, 1400 Country Club Road, York, Pa. 17403.
