SEVEN VALLEYS Lyda "Deloris" Runkle, 78, entered into rest at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of the late Clyde C.W. Runkle. Born January 17, 1935, in Delta, Lyda was a daughter of the late Jess and Lyda J. (Payne) Boswell. Following 20 years of service at Fawn Grove Sewing Factory, she was a foster parent for 20 years. Lyda was a member of Delta U.M. Church. She enjoyed reading as well as word searches. Lyda is survived by a daughter, Lorie J. Ginter and husband Addison of Seven Valleys; two sons, William Runkle and wife Cathy, and Charles Runkle and wife Wanda, all of York; stepdaughter, Julie Kennell and husband Randy of York; two stepsons, Ray Schmuck and companion Barb Myers of York, and Thomas Urey and wife Anna of Manchester; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister, Betty Logue. Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a time of visitation and remembrance for Lyda from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013, at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fawn Grove Cemetery.
