YORK Hilo HaiHuu Nguyen, 67, died on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Nang Thi (Thavisak) Nguyen. Born in Vietnam, on February 12, 1946, he was the son of the late Duc Huu and Hich Thi Nguyen. Hilo, along with his wife, owned and operated the Hilo Laundromat. He served in the South Vietnamese People's Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Harry HuuHai Nguyen and his wife, Abby of York; two daughters, Harriet Thinang Gray and her husband, Samuel of York, and Bethany Westover of York; two brothers, Chi Huu Nguyen of York and Nam Huu Nguyen of Texas; and five grandchildren, Caden, Connor, Chloe, Sammy, and Kenny. A celebration of Hilo's Life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, with a visitation Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
