YORK Charles N. Smith, 80, of Conewago Township, died at 1 a.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Keefer) Smith, with whom he celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on November 5, 2013. Born March 10, 1933, in York, the son of the late Mary Lightner, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, and had worked as a pipe fitter with Local #520. He was also a member of Faith Fellowship Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Smith is survived by a son, Curtis A. Smith of York; a daughter, Mary-Ann Smith Albright of York; and six grandchildren, Lindsey, Wesley, Erica, Michael, Kristy, and Samuel. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes & Cremation, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. James E. Ward, retired minister, officiating. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to the . KuhnerAssociates.com
