YORK Marilyn Joy (Snyder) Mundis, 86, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Mundis, Sr. Born March 9, 1928, in York, she was the daughter of the late Nevin O. and May E. (Diehl) Snyder. Marilyn attended Pleasureville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class. She was a very loving, caring and devoted Mother and grandmother. Hospitality was her gift and she generously shared it with family, friends, and acquaintances. Her life reflected her faith walk with Jesus. She is survived by two daughters, Karen J. Smith and her husband, Mack of York, and Joyce S. Mann and her husband, James of Coopersburg; five sons, Charles R. Mundis, Jr. and his wife, Denise of York, David S. Mundis of Delaware, Andrew P. Mundis of York, Rodney C. Mundis and his wife, Cheryl of Thornton, Colo., and Michael S. Mundis and his wife, Janna of Tempe, Ariz.; son-in-law, Gary Zimmerman of Harrisburg; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert Snyder of York. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela J. Zimmerman, formerly of Harrisburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Pleasureville United Methodist Church, 2606 N. Sherman St., York, with the Rev. Franklin N. Miller, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasureville United Methodist Church, 2606 N. Sherman St., York, PA 17406. The Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
