Lola Haley Obituary

YORK Lola M. Haley, 84, of Spring Garden Township, died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Hanover Hall Nursing Home. She was the wife of Norman M. Haley. Born August 8, 1930, in Charlottesville, Virginia, a daughter of the late Vernon and Ethel (Schifflet) Morris, she was retired from Western Electric, and was a member of Shrewsbury Assembly of God, where she also was a Sunday School Teacher. In addition to her husband of 67 years, Mrs. Haley is survived by two sons, The Rev. Marshall N. Haley, and his wife Gail, of Kingston, Maryland, and Bradley V. Haley of South Mountain; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Darrell J. Haley, and a brother, Glenn H. Morris. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York. Viewing will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361. KuhnerAssociates.com

I met Lola a time or two. Her brother Glenn H. Morris was my pastor for many years in Pasadena, MD. I could SEE God in them both. They are together again with our Heavenly Father. Because to be absent from the body - we are present with the LORD.
