Phyllis V. Horner

HELLAM Phyllis Virginia (Standiford) Horner, 84, entered into rest on Friday, June 12, 2015, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jack Leon Horner. She was born on January 21, 1931. Phyllis graduated from Hellam High School in 1949. She attended ValleyView Alliance Church in Hellam. Left to cherish her memory are three sons, David S. Horner and his wife, Kathleen J. of York, Gregory D. Horner of Hellam, and Robert J. Horner and his wife, Lizbeth J. of York; a daughter, Susan A. Horner of Hellam; three grandchildren, Nikki R. Aggelis and her husband, Spiro, Michael J. Horner and his wife, Hyesook, and Kristina M. Dietz and her husband, Derek; four great-grandchildren, Heracles S. Aggelis, Scott T. Garner, Grace N. Garner, and Dalton J. Dietz; and a sister, Edith R. Schroeder and her husband, James. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Ave., York, with Pastor Don Pullen officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Kreutz Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Ave., York, PA 17406.
