Glenn Bittner Obituary
STEWARTSTOWN
Glenn W. Bittner, 62, died suddenly Friday, February 19, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Carol L. (Henderson) Bittner and they celebrated 39 years of marriage on September 11, 2015.
Services are at the convenience of his family. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Born October 18, 1953, in Baltimore, Md., Glenn was the son of the late Glenn Harry and Margaret Mary (Revak) Bittner.
Glenn earned his B.S. in Biology from Towson University and was a health inspector with the Baltimore County Health Department. A member of the Stewartstown Historical Society as well as the Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad, Glenn enjoyed flying model aircraft with the Propbuster R/C Club. He was an accomplished musician and played many instruments. Glenn enjoyed astronomy, motorcycle riding, sailing, woodworking, and Civil War history. His great-great-grandfather fought in the Civil war in the PA Infantry.
Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife, are three siblings, Margaret Ann and her husband, Robert Schueler of Greenville, S.C., Caroline H., wife of Don Bellusci of Lineboro, Md., and John C Bittner and his wife, Stephanie of Hydes, Md.; a sister-in-law, Sharon Henderson of Stewartstown; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his cat buddies, "Patch" and "Buddy". Glenn was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Marie Larkin.

Uncle Glennie, I will always recall the fond memories of flying R/C airplanes and listening to you play your guitar along with Beatles songs. YOu were always greatly funny and a loving family man. You will be missed. Say hi to "Mudder" & "Fadder" and Aunt Jeanie. Love Mary Ellen & Bud

I am so sorry to hear about Glenn passing away. Jean shared about her brother Glenn and how he was a health inspector,and about his cat too. She also was so happy to see him so often during her last days on this earth. I almost felt like I knew Glenn, over the years, but I have never met him. Glenn is loved, and will be missed by many people. Lord, thank you for the lives that were touched by Glenn and I ask you now to comfort these people in the sadness of losing Glenn. Lord you took him home, but there is a void there now..so please fill that void with your love and peace,please comfort each person...In Jesus name amen .
