PITTSBURGH
Thomas Jefferson Murray, Jr., 56, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 15, 2016, in Pittsburgh.
Thomas was born on March 11, 1959, in York, to the late Thomas J. Murray, Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Grant-Dixon) Murray.
He was educated through the York City School District and Clarion University, where he received his Bachelor Degree in Education. He worked for the Pittsburgh Department of Education as a Special Education teacher. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Korey Walker of Washington, DC and Sean Murray of PIttsburgh; three daughters, Tanya Murray-Davis of York, April Gray and Paige Murray, both of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Cynthia Dixon and Cassandra Murray, both of York, and Anita Murray of Virginia; brothers, Anthony Murray of Jacobus and Michael Murray of Columbia, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, James Singleton Dixon.
Memorial services for Thomas will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Odell Robinson Funeral Home, 2025 Perrysville Ave., Pittsburgh, with repast to follow, and on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 629 S. Pershing Ave., York. Repast will follow the service at the church social hall. Interment will be at the convenience of the family

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I work with Tom at McNaugher from Sept. 1990 to Dec. 2011. He was my assistant twice for a total of four years. He was a great co-worker and a great man. May he rest in peace.
