Lee A. Schlenker, 84, died at 12:44 p.m. Thursday June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Carol F. (Weaver) Schlenker.
Born December 5, 1932 in Lyon Station, Berks County, he was the only child of the late Herbert and Esther (Hill) Schlenker. He was retired as co-owner of the former Schlenker Studio, and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and the woodcarving club.
Mr. Schlenker is survived by two sons, David L. Schlenker of Hennef, Germany, and Matthew S. Schlenker, and his wife, Melissa, of Red Lion; a daughter, Christa F. Schlenker Roser, and her husband, Daniel of Wrightsville; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sunday June 18, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 South George Street, York, with his Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alan Watt officiating. Viewing will be 12-1:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
