Sheldon A. Martin, 32, died Thursday evening, January 20, 2005, in his East Maple Street home. Born September 14, 1972, in Hanover, son of Wanda C. (Young) Messer and Alan B. Martin, Mr. Martin was last employed with Coyne Textiles, in West York. Sheldon was a very talented artist. He enjoyed rebuilding bicycles, camping, fishing, cooking, playing his guitar, and bowling, where he was a sub at Colony Park North Bowling Lanes. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin is survived by a daughter, Brianna Shelby Martin of East Berlin; two sisters, Michelle Lynn Martin of North York and Cheryl Ranae Denues of West York, one nephew, Wyatt X. Denues; one close aunt, Carolyn R. Allison; nine cousins; four uncles; three aunts; and a grandmother, Ruth R. (Rhymer) Martin of Boyerstown, Pa. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Blaine L. Martin of Boyerstown, who passed away Sunday, January 16, 2005; a grandmother, Wilma (Potter) Young of Glenville; and an uncle, Frank W. Young of Glenville. Family and friends may attend the funeral service which will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Jerry Stoltzfoos officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Serving as casketbearers will be: Bob. G. Allison, Nicholas J.T. Young, Joshua N. Young, Joseph E. Young, Jr., Chad Eckenrode, Toby Denues, Ronald G. Dysard, Clair E. Dysard and Shane R. Lewis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mental Health Association of York County, 303 E. Market St., York, PA 17403; or to Victims of Crime Assistance Center of York, P.O. Box 892, 309 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
