BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. — Mrs. Janice Hewitt Wright, 62, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

Born April 20, 1952 in Chesterfield County, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Helen Leviner Hewitt. She attended Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College and was a sales representative with Avon. Mrs. Wright attended Second Baptist Church in Bennettsville and Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She loved her family and spending time with them at the beach. Mrs. Wright also loved riding horses and playing bingo. She also enjoyed cruises, selling Avon and meeting people.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Prentiss Wright of the home; sons, Charles Corey Wright of Bennettsville, Joseph Edward Wright of Bennettsville, Chad Nickolas Wright (Crystal) of Wallace and Jarrett Wade Wright of Bennettsville; brothers, Michael Hewitt of Bennettsville and Tony Hewitt (Treva) of Bennettsville; sisters, Terri McManus (Jay) of Bennettsville and Judy Langley of Bennettsville; and five grandchildren, Chelsea Victoria Wright, Caylee Summerlynn Wright, Nicholas Ray Wright, Harley Lakyn Wright and Daltyn Reif Wright.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday at the family home, located at 2663 Ebenezer Road, Bennettsville, SC 29512.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Denny Costner, the Rev. Jerry Hatcher and the Rev. Becky Forest. Burial will follow at Chavis Cemetery in Bennettsville.
