Joyce Shaw Cranford, 81, of Supply, N.C., formerly of Norman, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 in Hospice Haven in Rockingham.
Born Aug. 5, 1932 in Montgomery County. She was the daughter of the late Kyle and Maie Greene Shaw.
Joyce was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church in Holden Beach and had worked as a bookkeeper with L.G. DeWitt Trucking Company and Johnsons Produce prior to retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Randle Cranford.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Cranford and wife Cathy of Aberdeen and Steve Cranford and wife Gwen of Norman; her sister, Jenelle S. Thompson of Ellerbe and a grandson Dustin Cranford of Greensboro.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Norman United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dena White will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church and other times at the home of her sister, Jenelle Thompson, 842 Capel Mill Road in Ellerbe.
