DOVER, Pa. — Lois A. Jacox, 70, entered into rest at 1 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in York, Pa. She was the wife of the late Michael Jacox.
Born May 23, 1943 in Providence, R.I., Lois was a daughter of the late Antone and Clara (Vincent) Ferreira.
Lois was a homemaker and volunteered at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. She previously worked in the home healthcare industry in York and had also worked in the deli at Spangler's Grocery Store in Dover.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Antone and Edward Ferreira.
Lois is survived by a daughter, Antoinette Stoll and husband Kenneth of Rockingham; a son, James T. Parsch and wife Anita of Bedford, Ind.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debra McCarthy and Janet Andrews; and a brother, Eric Ferreira, all of Providence.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lois' memorial service at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Ambassador's Bible Chapel, 3000 York Haven Road, Manchester, Pa. Officiating will be Pastor David Slautterback.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Help Fund c/o York Health Foundation, 50 N. Duke St., Second Floor, York, PA 17401.
