HAMLET, N.C. — Robert "Bob" Finley Brigman Sr., 86, of 806 Jefferson Street, Hamlet, passed away surrounded by his family, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Hospice Haven.

He was born in Richmond County, Sept. 22, 1931, son of John and Essie Green Brigman.

Mr. Brigman was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Hamlet, the American Legion, and Masonic Lodge No. 537. He retired from CSX as a car inspector after 37 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Howard Brigman and Richard "Dinky" Brigman.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Richmond Memorial Park, with the Rev. Randy Bishop and Allison Farrah.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Golda Brigman of the home; son, Robert Brigman Jr. (Lenette) of Hamlet; brother, John "Toady" Brigman of Hamlet; sisters, Patsy Goodman and Mary "Mickey" Milham, both of Hamlet; grandchildren, Ashleigh Buie (Johnathan), Schaley Coulter (Matt); great-grandchildren, Emily and Destiny Buie.
