William Dabbs

PINEBLUFF, N.C. — William Warren Dabbs, 76, of Pinebluff, passed away on June 17, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Dabbs was born on April 27, 1938 in Rockingham to the late Lonnie R. and Annie Viola Dabbs.

William proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a huge fan of beach music and was a proud member of the Shaggers Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his two sons, William Warren "Ducey" Dabbs II and his wife Amanda Chuzas Dabbs and Brandon Dabbs; three grandchildren, Porter Reid Dabbs, Andersen Paige Dabbs and Sawyer Cole Dabbs; one sister, Arlene Davis; special nephew, Jesse Hough; and is also survived by many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. A visitation will follow the service from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the of North Carolina 4801 E. Independence, Liberty, NC 27298.
