Foley, Ethelene "June"* - Yuma
June passed into the light Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Yuma, AZ. Born June 1, 1938 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Travis and Jewel Bell. In the late 1930's, the family joined the westward migration to escape the "dust bowl" conditions and settled in the Los Angeles, CA area. June attended Hollywood High School together with celebrity dependents such as David and Ricky Nelson of the "Ozzie & Harriet show" but far from being starstruck; she remained a girl with a simple practical outlook on life. Marriage and the subsequent birth of two children interrupted plans to attend UCLA. June was described by some as the "Universal Mom" loving, nurturing, and always taking the time to advice and guide those close to her heart. She considered herself a typical Gemini full of life and ready for whatever adventure lied ahead so it was only natural when husband, Al, fully retired; they 5th wheeled throughout the United States, Canada, and Baja California visiting family and friends; finally settling in Yuma Foothills. June is survived by her husband of 39 years, Al Foley; a son, Steven D. Parker of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Susan D. Parker of Oceanside, CA. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Compassus for their kind and considerate care of June in her final days. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Chapel of Sunset Vista Funeral Home, 11357 E. 40th Street, Yuma. Please sign the guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/yumasun/
