Services and cremation are pending at Funeraria Paraiso in San Luis Rio Colorado, Son. Desert Valley Mortuary is handling local arrangements.

Dotson Sr, David W.* - Yuma  
David W. Dotson, Sr. May 21, 1939 - June 17, 2016 Mr. David W. Dotson died June 17, 2016 at his home in the arms of his loving daughter (Irene Dotson), surrounded by his beautiful great granddaughters (Crystiana Webb and Hennessey Young); and buddy, Jodi Copp. David is survived by his sister, Pat Holder; former wife and friend, Norma Irene Palacio; daughter, Irene Dotson; son, Shawn Dotson; daughter, Dawn Dotson Thomas. David has 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews; and close friends, John Boylan and Danny White. David is proceeded in death by his father, WH Dotson; brother, Steve Dotson; son, Ronnie Dedonatis; daughter, Deloris Bay; son, David W. Dotson Jr. and great granddaughter, Davell Dotson. Franco, Paul Hilbert "Pablo"* - Yuma  
In Memory of Paul Hilbert "Pablo" Franco March 8, 1926 - May 19, 2016 Paul H. Franco was the fifth of ten children born in Yuma to Pablo G. Franco and Felicitas Franco. In 1944, at age 18, Paul enlisted in the US Army, following boot camp he was sent directly into combat during WWII. Special tribute to Captain Elgy Kryger's courageous dedication as a soldier, who saved Paul's life allowing him to live 71 more years. The union between his wife, Elena Soto in 1949 gave him three loving, caring surviving sons; Paul Jr, John and Louis. Paul's surviving siblings are Ruth, Bertha, Lupe, Felicia and Joseph. After Elena passed, Paul married Virginia Acosta. Other surviviors include his step-children; Jackie, Delila, Fernando and Edwin. Paul has twelve surviving grand children. Hefner, Petra G. - Yuma  
A visitation for Petra G. Hefner, 88, will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Parish, with rosary from 7 to 8 p.m. Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn. Born Aug. 1, 1927, in Yuma, she died June 21, 2016, at her Yuma home. She was a seamstress. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Jones, Billy L. - Wellton  
Billy L. Jones, 52, of Wellton, died June 22, 2016, in Wellton. A heavy equipment operator, he was born Oct. 23, 1963, in Taft, Calif. Services are pending. Desert Valley Mortuary is handling arrangements, including private cremation.

Jordan, Mary K.* - Lafayette  
Mary K. Jordan, a 30 year resident of Yuma, Arizona, passed away on June 19, 2016 in Lafayette, CA. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 17, 1934. Mary K. married Donald W. Jordan in 1953 in Long Beach, CA. They spent the first few years of their marriage traveling between San Diego, CA and Tucson, AZ where Don played for the Tucson Cowboys minor league baseball team. Don and Mary K. lived in El Cajon, CA for over 20 years and returned to Arizona to manage the Yuma Coca-Cola plant. After Don's death, Mary K. took up golfing, volunteered in the community and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Mary K. is preceded in death by her husband, Don Jordan and her brother Alfred Kearney. She is survived by her brother, Cornelius Kearney and sister-in-law, Lois Kearney of Seal Beach, CA, her son, Richard Jordan and daughter-in-law Nancy Jordan of Ramona, CA, her daughter, Jacqueline Carew and son-in-law, Patrick Carew of Lafayette, CA. Mary K. has 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A rosary will be held on Sunday, June 26 at the El Cajon Mortuary at 5 pm. A funeral mass at Holy Trinity Church in El Cajon will follow on Monday, June 27 at 10:30 am with gravesite services immediately following at the El Cajon Cemetery.

Kowalsky, Andrew Joseph* - Yuma  
Andrew Joseph Kowalsky of Yuma passed away on June 22 at the age of 86. He served in the U.S. Army for 25 years and worked at YPG as Test Director for Tank Automotive Division. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge for 23 years. Andy was an avid sports fan and basketball was his passion. Andy touched the hearts of everyone who knew him and was loved by all. He was a beautiful soul and will be sorely missed. Andy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Pat and daughter Lori. He is survived by his son Mark and wife Lorraine; two grandsons Colton Kowalsky and Jason Shoemaker, wife Elizabeth; two great grandchildren, Kade and Charlieanne Shoemaker. No services are being held.

Lewis-Farnsworth, Melinda Ann* - Yuma  
Melinda Ann Lewis-Farnsworth February 7, 1943 - May 20, 2016 Melinda Ann Lewis-Farnsworth born Feb. 7, 1943 in Gas City, Indiana to Hobe and Annette Lewis. She attended high school in Phoenix and Yuma, Arizona. A member of the Pom Pom squad and a Song Leader in high school. She received her degree in primary education from NAU, and Married Frank C. Farnsworth while there. After college she moved to Clinton, Missouri, living there for 13 years with husband, and sons, Curtis Scott (born 1962) and Cary Keith (born 1964. In Missouri, her daughter, Cindy Annette was born May 9, 1969. She was a Cub Scouts Den Mother and a member of the adult sorority Beta Sigma Phi in Clinton, an avid golfer and active in the community. Melinda or "Meme" taught grade school in Clinton. Meme and family moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1979. While there she coached her daughter Cindy's girls soccer team. Her eldest son passed away from a hiking accident in Flagstaff in 1980. Meme moved back to Yuma, Arizona to be near her Mother, Father, sisters and their families in 1987. Meme was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the year 2000, and eventually retired from teaching 2nd grade in Yuma. Meme survived with PD for 16 years. She participated in many Parkinson's research programs and clinical trials at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda Maryland, and was adamant in her support of research of treatment for PD.
