Carol was born January 4th, 1941 and died peacefully at her home in Marengo on October 8, 2013 after battling a long illness. Carol was surrounded by her family as she entered God's Kingdom.
Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan where 19 years later, met and married Gary Lynn Carter of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Gary and Carol were married on June 25, 1960; the couple have three children, Brain (Holly) Carter; Elgin, Wendy (Mary Beth) Carter- Siddons-McHenry, Kevin J. Carter, Rockford.
After getter married in 1960, Gary and Carol lived in Mt. Clemens, MI in 1977 moved to Crystal Lake, IL where they loved for 8 years until moving to Blackford, ID. While living in Crystal Lake Carol was an active "brand mom" for the Crystal Lake Heraldry Guard, worked for the Crystal Lake school district 47/155 as a bus driver and also drove for Dial A Ride/PACE for many years. In 1985 Carol and her husband Gary moved to Idaho where they spent 18 years in what they would call "paradise". After which they retired to Yuma, AZ. In Yuma, Carol was very active in her retirement community and in 2010 Carol and Gary moved back to Illinois to be closer to her children.
Carol loved the simple things in life, bingo, billards, clogging, word searches and dollar stores, always was able to find the good in every situation but nothing was more important to her than her husband of 53 years, Gary and her children and family.
