Evelyn Evadine Marcotte, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Yuma, Arizona. She was born December 27, 1932 in Analaska, Wisconsin to Herbert Otto and Nettie Louise Stedgee-Otto.
Evelyn was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a faithful and believing ambassador of the Salvation she received as a young person. Wife of 49 years to Dwight, who preceded her in death, ordained Pastor and was a founder of Grace Bible Church, now known as Maranatha Baptist Church. She worked along side of her husband and son Isaac as longtime Yuma property landlords. Evelyn retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Co. where she was employed as an operator. Her daughter Pricilla recalls, ""she was one of the hardest working persons I have known, literally working night and day, yet somehow carving out what precious time she could to do little craft projects with me"". Evelyn loved animals and growing things. Her iron-grip hard shakes will be fondly remembered by those of us who experienced them.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Isaac Marcotte of Yuma, Arizona; daughter, Pricilla Marcotte of Belle Plaine, Iowa; brother, Hurbert Otto of Broadhead, Wisconsin; sisters, Ione Stanzil of Three Lakes, Wisconsin, Norma (Kit) Vernon of Broadhead, Wisconsin, Jane McDonald of Rockyford, Colorado, Frieda Beltran of Broadhead, Wisconsin; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
