Major Frank Lloyd Strasheim USAF retired ("BigDaddy"), father, grandfather, great grandfather. Born August 9th, 1915 Emmett, Nebraska, died April 23rd, 2013 Yuma, Arizona.
Frank grew up in Nebraska where he attended the University of Nebraska in 1935. He joined the U.S. Army
cavalry (Remount Service) in 1936, transferred to Army Air Corp. and then the Air Force. He married Goldie M. Mitchell in 1939. Served through World War II
and the Korean War
. He retired in San Antonio, Texas in 1963. He then attended the University of Washington
and got his Masters in Education and taught High School in Seattle. He and his wife Goldie M. Strasheim moved to Yuma in 2005. He died unexpectedly at home at the age of 97.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife of more than 70 years.
His children Frank Jr and Kathy Dickey, grandchildren Susan, John and Frank III, great-grandchild Kaden and dog Lady survive him.
He traveled the world and landed in Yuma.
