Jerrold Glen Bartlett (Jerry), age 78, of Yuma, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2013 at home in the company of family. Jerry was born in Eureka, California to Helen and Thomas Bartlett on February 21, 1935.
Jerry grew up on the family homestead in Redwood Creek, Humboldt County and lived in Humboldt County most of his life. He went to high school at Fortuna Union High School and graduated in 1954. He attended Humboldt State College where he enjoyed playing on the football team for four years. He worked for the County as a heavy equipment operator, was a rancher and worked for Pacific Lumber Company as a construction mill right for 15 years. He lived the last eight years in Yuma, Arizona. He enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Sue across the United States, Canada and Mexico, and traveled the Alcan Highway twice to Alaska. Jerry also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lauretta Sue Bartlett; daughters, Laurie Bartlett and Tina Bartlett; brothers, Grant Bartlett and Tommy Bartlett, and grandson Logan Trifunovic. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen Ross Bartlett and Thomas Bartlett; brother, William Bartlett, and sister, Gwen Downard.
