Josefina "“Fina”" (Veloso) Santana(1925 - 2014)

Our dear Mother went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Ironwood Estates surrounded by her Daughters. Born on June 22, 1925 in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico, she lived there until 1959 when due to family businesses she and her family moved to San Luis R.C., Sonora.
Fina was best known for being a great hostess. If you ever needed a word of wisdom or a shoulder to lean on, Fina was the person to go to. You could always expect a great meal, she was the best cook. She loved music, you would give her any instrument and she could figure out how to play it. She was famous for telling the best jokes.
Fina was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her ex-husband Lino Veloso. She is survived by her four daughters, Tere Lewis of Oregon, Carmen Castanon of California, Pilar and Susy Veloso of Yuma.
Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 417 15th Avenue, Yuma. A Celebration of Life will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Desert Valley Mortuary, 138 N. Avenue B, Somerton, AZ.
