Maydean "May" S. White(1926-2014)

Our dear mother, Maydean "May" S. White, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Chandler, AZ. She was born May 1, 1926 in Blackgum, Oklahoma to Hugh and Nettie Anderson. May was a long time resident of Yuma, she moved to Yuma in 1945. May worked 17 years as a Cashier with Central Market in Yuma. In 2001, she moved with her children to Chandler, AZ. May was a member of Assembly of God Church. She loved fishing, camping, reading her bible, watching Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns games.

May was a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by sons, Thomas G. White (Diane) and Bobby D. White; daughter, Carolyn G. Hands (Joe); brother, Paul Anderson (Marcia); grandchildren, Kelly and Jeannine Hands, Tammy Clark (Mike), Joey Hands, John and Jason White, Travis White; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. May was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur T. White; brothers, Alan Anderson and Avis Anderson; sister, Georgie Bryant; father, Hugh Anderson; and mother, Nettie Anderson.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Johnsons Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma. Internment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
