Miguel "Michael" Angel Chavez Jr.

On March 27th, 2013 God was in need of an angel and he chose the very best one he could find. Miguel was knows by many names to include: Michael, Mikey, Alvin, Fatman, Papa Bear, Mickity, Big Dogg, Broseph and Compa but most of all Daddy. Michael enjoyed doing many things such as being outdoors, riding his banshee, hanging out with friends around a bonfire while cooking up some carne asada, tearing up parks while bumping Motley Crue but most of all Mike loved spending time with his family. Michaels world revolved around his two beautiful children Leia Nicole and Christian Michael. He was the most amazing father anyone could have ever asked for. Mike was so full of life and was always the life of the party: "My name is Mike Chavez and I like to party" was his most overly used phrase but that was Mike. He always lived life to the absolute fullest and never had any regrets.
Michael is survived by his love of nine years Jeannie and their two children Leia and Christian. His parents Steve & Leticia Gomez, sister Stephanee Gomez, brother Manny Gomez, maternal grandparents Joe & Olga Medina, paternal grandfather Homer Chavez, grandmother Lydia Galindo, aunts Monica Medina, Doralisa (David) Ruiz & Camilla (Jose "Pepe") Miranda, uncles Joe Medina & Homer (Maria) Chavez, nephew Steven LeRoy, cousins Audrey & Sophia Ruiz and Ramon & Joe Gomez as well as many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael is preceeded in death by his paternal grandmother Christina Chavez and cousin Jessica Rodriguez.
Michael- We can no longer hold your hand, embrace you in a hug or share in your dreams. But, you are with us everyday. Our minds are filled with the sound of your voice, our hearts with your love and our souls with your warmth. We are forever connected. You brought us love, joy and happiness. We hope we have brought you honor. Missing you now, loving you always. Rest In Peace Our Sweet Angel
Services for Michael are Saturday, April 6th at 1:00pm at Desert Valley Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family has opened a memorial fund a Chase Bank for Jeannie and the kids.
