Paul Ortega left this world to join with his loving mother and brothers on May 1, 2014. Paul was born on November 15, 1941.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Jones White, father, Frank Ortega, brothers, Boyd Barley, Victor Davis and Phillip Ortega. He is survived by brothers Will B. Ortega, Sr., Somerton, AZ, Leroy Thompson, Santa Fe, New Mexico and sister Faye Fitzgerald, Salem, Oregon. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephew, aunts who will remember him.
He attended Somerton Elementary, School in Somerton, Arizona, and Coolidge Children's Colony for the Deaf& Blind, Tucson, Arizona. He later participated in Special Olympics
through the TROTH Program and won many awards and trophies, and loved Bowling.
Viewing will be on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel at 4 p.m. He will be transported to the East Cocopah Big House at 7 p.m. there will be a church service officiated by Rev. Ray and June Stillings. Tradition services will follow till 5 a.m., and cremation to follow at 6 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Pallbearers will be, Will Ortega, Jr., Justin Thomas, Joseph Pomeroy, Ernesto Salvatierra and family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are, Neil, Lester, Gary, Luther and Billy White, Thomas Bervin, Will Ortega, Sr., and Leroy Thompson.
