Stella L. Osuna(1930-2014)

Stella L. Osuna entered eternal peace Thursday, May 1, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 2, 1930 to the late Ralph and Pascualita Ochoa. She was one of twelve brothers and sisters.

Family and dear friends were a passion and joy for her, spending time with nature, cooking, dancing, and making great memories together. She attended schools in Yuma and met the love of her life, Joe, at Yuma High School. They were married on September 26, 1949 and shared their love for 64 years with their children, Joe (June) of Flagstaff, AZ, Mike (Debbie) of Winslow, AL, Chris Osuna and Andrea Evers both of Yuma, AZ. She is also grandmother to Larrisia, Isaac, Anthony, Ruben, Gabriel, Lyda, Laura, Daniel and Matthew and great grandmother to eight.

Stella added many accomplishments to her life; antique collecting, furniture restoration, photography, and producing innovative ways in the operation of Penny Pest Control for over fifty years with her husband.

She is survived by husband, Joe; her children; extended family; sisters, Leonila (Bob) Araza, Elisa Ahuero, Hilda (Alan) Barr, and Norma (Rusty) Benson; numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor of Stella's life, there will be a wake on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Avenue, Yuma. A Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at St. Francis Church, 1815 S. 8th Avenue, Yuma. The burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial.

Your beautiful smile and loving ways will be remembered as a part of our fondest memories.

Thank you for the bountiful gifts you have given us, my Wife, my mother, my grandmother and my dear friend.
