Dustin 'Tyler' Beshears(1984 - 2013)

Dustin "Tyler" Beshears, 29, left his family and friends on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was born May 2, 1984 in Yuma, AZ. Tyler was from Somerton, AZ and currently living in New Orleans, Louisiana where he had resided for the past 6-1/2 years. He had a passion for making people happy which resulted in such a huge circle of friends and colleagues.

Above all passions was his passion for music. He graduated from Cibola High School in 2002. His move to "Nola" a few years later provided him the opportunity to pursue his passion and dream- music! He lived it and loved it! He received his Associates Degree in music from Delgado College and continued his education at The University of New Orleans where he majored in music/performing arts, specifically percussion. He was an impressive percussionist to say the least. His likes of music were broad but his true love was jazz/blues and what better place than New Orleans.

He was a well known and liked young man in his neighborhood and community and didn't know a stranger. His smiling face and more than "live out loud" personality stood above-even in New Orleans. He kept himself busy working, studying and playing every "gig" he could. Sometimes up to three different gigs a night.

In addition to this hectic schedule Tyler was in the midst of producing a musical production, Doddle and Dink, (named after his grandparents) with his dear friend Ben Thomas who shared his passion for music. But they loved it! One of his recent proud moments was a surprise "sit in" with Wolfmann Washington while our Mom was visiting. We don't know who had more trouble leaving the Maple Leaf that evening- heads just weren't fitting through the door on the way out as easily as when they arrived. It was an amazing night!

Tyler, our son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend has left us much too soon. Our hearts are saddened but we find peace and healing in knowing that he is in Heaven above with relatives that have preceded him and where the needs are null.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Tommy, Jody, and Connie Beshears; Kim "Darnder" Beshears; brothers, Early and Jason (Stephanie) Beshears; sisters, Dawn and Mollie Elle Beshears; special friend, Aimee Pully; several nieces, nephews, cousins and circle of friends that loved him dearly. Tyler was unique in his passion and love for others and beyond in kindness.

A celebration of Life will be held at the home of Tyler's parents in Somerton on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. located at 17385 S Avenue A, Somerton, AZ. Please join us to honor Tyler.
