Donna, I'm so sorry to hear that Larry is not with us. Never knew how to take his sense of humor, but always knew deep down he was being nice!! I'm glad i got to know him through the Legion. I will miss knowing he is not with us. Love to you, Denise and Neal Schlamann

I've know Larry for almost 40 years, since we were Marines stationed in NAS Memphis but really didn't get to know him until we got stationed in MCAS Beaufort with the first Harrier squadron VMA-513. I'm surprised we survived the road trips to Savannah and Charleston while we were there. We lived on Cracker Barrel cheese and orange juice during the day and Canadian Club at night. My liver thanks you, Larry. Anyone that met him for the first time thought he was rather caustic and sarcastic. After you got to know him you learned to look past the rough barn exterior and saw the real Larry, a guy who would help you out in a heartbeat, good with advise, and there to listen. If I had the chance to do it again with Larry would I? You betcha! I'm sorry to see a good man go.
