Brook Thompson Obituary
Brook lived life to the fullest enjoying Special Olympics, fun with her family at the beach, lake, or wherever they might be until failing health slowed her pace. There were still many movies to watch, pictures to color, holidays to celebrate and fun to have. As we look back on her life, we are reminded of a quote from Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it is over; smile because it happened."
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Sunset Vista Funeral Home, Yuma, Arizona. Graveside services on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Vista Cemetery, Yuma, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Yuma, 1824 S. 8th Avenue, Yuma, AZ 85364-5517, or charity of your choice. Please sign the guestbook at www.yumasun.com/obituaries

both made contributions to Hospice, I understand Brook was just beautiful. She was such a loving child. My time with her at the Retirement party was wonderful. She ran up and gave me a big hug - I think it was my grey hair that did the trick. But I got my hug. I know your hearts are breaking. Love

Dear Lynn and Family, I was so vert sorry to hear of the loss of your daughter. It has been years since I have heard your name Lynn. This is Penny Daniels, just wanted you to know how very sorry I am and that it has been such a long time since we have spoken. Dear Lynn, Peggy, Tonna,and Holly,and families I am very sad about hearing about Brook. She was such a sweetheart. I will always remember the times Brook spent with Tony and I. I will always remember when she would come to the Skills Center many years ago. She was such a happy person. Today has been a sad day for me, since I found out about the passing of Brook. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Contact me if you need anything. Brook was an Angel sent from God to teach us all the things which we needed to learn. She will be missed. All of you took such good care of Brook. I remember when I took Brook and Tony, and some of his friends to get candy on Halloween one year. She had such a great time. I will always remember Brook Thompson.

Dear Lynn, Peggy, and family,
We have the greatest memories of being served refreshments by Brook out on the covered patio. She made us feel as if we were a king and queen. We just know she has all the stickers she could now want and use in heaven.

Brook was an angel during her time here on earth, now she is on a different plane, Don and I are so sorry, we have so many sweet memories of Brook when she was young and my mother was still alive, they will always be with us and your memories of Brook will always be with you.
