John C. Doscher, Jr., 72, passed away on July 4, 2013. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 18, 1940 to the late John C. Doscher and Edna Eargle Doscher.|
John entered the Army and proudly served his country for 20 years. He served in the enlisted rank and also as an officer, retiring as a Major. During his military career, he received numerous medals including a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star w/ V Device. After he retired from the military, he became a financial advisor and helped military families for 18 years. After retiring, he and his wife Margaret traveled in their RV. He loved NASCAR and went to races whenever he could. John was also a proud member of the Elks
Lodge for 38 years.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Margaret Phillips Doscher; children, Kenneth Doscher of Tacoma, WA; Keith Doscher of Fircrest, WA, Michael LaShells of University Place, WA, Vickie LaShells of Yuma, AZ and Denise Chojnowski of University Place, WA.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A service to celebrate John's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 27th at the Elks Lodge.
His final resting place will be in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
