Andres Cecilio Arias, 63, went to be with our Lord on August 3, 2013. He passed away in Prescott, AZ.

Andy was born November 26, 1949 in Yuma, AZ and attended local schools, graduated from Yuma High School. He loved athletics and music. He was on the YHS wrestling team and also was a black belt in karate.
He started playing the guitar at the age of 13 with his brother, Phil, local musician friends and cousins. Andy was a remarkable lead guitar player and he enjoyed teaching his skills to his cousins and friends. He began playing with his father in "Conjuntos" and later joined the younger musicians and formed their own bands in the 60's, 70's, 80's and throughout his life; The Madisons, The Night Jokers, The West Siders, The Originals, Hot City and Country Fever, to name a few - playing current popular music of the times, rock and roll, Mexican and country music. Andy was a talented musician and also designed his own guitars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres Chavez Arias, Rosa Rosas Arias, and nephew, Jesse Wayne Arias. Andy is survived by his brothers, Jim (Irene) and Phil (Bettie) Arias; and sisters, Mary (Larry) Harlan, Bertha Gutierrez, and Beatriz (Richard) Moran and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church Chapel located at 505 S Avenue B, Yuma. His cousin, Deacon Oscar Chavez will officiate. A celebration of life will follow at the DAV Hall, 1313 W 9th Place at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
