Andrew Ahuero, 79, died peacefully June 11, 2013, at YRMC surrounded by his family. He was an avid Diamondbacks fan. He was a great outdoorsman & enjoyed the beach, mountains & desert. He was a proud Yuma Criminal graduating in 1953 & was a member of the "Once a Criminal Always a Criminal" breakfast club. He loved spending time with his great & grandchildren. We will miss him & his weekend cookouts. His pet Pomeranian Foxy misses him too.

Andy started working at 17 as a janitor at Jongeward Electric. Soon training & becoming a master electric motor rewinder, a job he enjoyed for over 40 years. He is survived by his bride of 46 years Elisa (Ochoa) Ahuero. siblings Bob Ahuero in Africa & Leonor Allison in Tacoma, WA. Children: Andrew George Ahuero and John Patrick Ahuero, Mario T. Daniel, Loretta Ahuero and Dina D. Daniel; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Ahuero & Mary C. Wallace, his brothers Joe Jr. & Ernie Ahuero, his son Gregory E. Daniel, and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation: Monday June 17, 2013, from 6:00-9:00pm. At Johnson Mortuary 1415 S. First Avenue, Yuma AZ. Rosary begins at 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass is at 9:00am Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Parish 505 S. Avenue B. Burial following at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
