Anthony Garcia Obituary
Anthony served in the United States Air Force for four years. While stationed in Yuma, he met and married Vera De Los Reyes on July 25, 1959. He worked for Imperial Irrigation District for nearly 40 years, retiring as the Assistant Superintendent (River Division). He was an avid outdoorsman, traveler, and bowler. He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and a member of the American Legion. His life will continue to resonate in the minds and hearts of his family, friends, co-workers, and community.
Anthony is survived by wife, Vera; daughter, Mary Ellen Garcia, and granddaughters, Amber and Jennifer. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, godparent, and father figure to many.
Anthony's final services will take place on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Johnson Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Honor Mausoleum.
