Barbara H. (Strobl) Hubl Obituary
Heaven has received another beautiful angel, Barbara Hazel (Strobl) Hubl, 59, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2014.

She was born on February 1, 1954 to Dorothy Mae (Post) Strobl and Vencil Joseph Strobl in Red Cloud, Nebraska. Barbara grew up in Red Cloud, NE and graduated from Red Cloud High in 1972.

In the hot summer of 1975, Barbara along with her then-husband Michael Hubl and daughter Jeri moved to Yuma, AZ. There she began her long career as a banker working for The Arizona Bank, Southern Arizona Bank and later National Bank of Arizona. She retired in 2002.

She had a heart bigger than the sky, and that was shown through all her numerous hours of volunteer sewing work she did for various organizations. She donated to Project Linus, Arizona Children's Association, Veterans project and KIDS CuddleKit Closet, to name a few. She also donated numerous quilts and pillow cases to patients of the Pediatric floor at YRMC.

She donated her smile, sparkling personality, and wit to every person she met. Amongst other things, she had a love for cooking and was a huge Cornhusker fan, GO BIG RED!

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae (Post) Strobl; and father, Vencil Joseph Strobl. She is survived by her partner Mark Schmittou of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Jeri Jo (Hubl) Padilla; son-in-law, Mike Padilla; four grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Levi, Erik, and a granddaughter due in June, all of Yuma, AZ. She is also survived by three brothers, James Strobl (Diane) of Lawrence, KS (and Yuma, AZ in the winter), Richard Strobl (Susan) of Hagerstown, MD, and Dannie Strobl (Shari) of Danville, KY; many nephews and nieces.

Memorial services and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Cooley, 10584 S Somerton Ave, Yuma, AZ 85365. All who loved her are welcomed, children included. Lunch will follow.
