Dorothy Baron Keplar Little Obituary
Dorothy Little, of Yuma, Arizona, passed away peacefully in her home with her son, Fred and friends at her bedside, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Dottie was born in Weeksbury, KY to the late W.H. Dick Keplar and Lillian Baron Keplar on November 5, 1930.

Dottie graduated from Man High School, Man, WV in the class of 1947. She went to business school at Wiseman's Business College in Huntington, WV. She married Frederick Truman Little in 1948. They had two sons and lived in South Man, WV, until moving to Yuma in 1964. Dottie was a secretary to the principal at Man Grade school after her children entered grade school.

Dottie worked at Parkview Baptist Hospital that became Yuma Regional Medical Center, as a secretary and transcriptionist in the Pathology department and became certified as a Histology Technologist and worked in the Pathology department until her retirement in 1993. Dottie earned a private pilots license, and traveled with her husband on trips and also belonged to the 99's flying club. Dottie was very talented with craft projects and in recent years made beautiful handmade cards. She worked in the office of her son Fred's business a A Touch of Glass from July 2004 until her death. Dottie had many friends and was a very nice, loving, caring and giving person. She will be long remembered and missed. The Webmaster of the High School website commented on the demise of "Little Dot" saying if you looked up nice person in the dictionary, you would find a picture of our Dottie.

Dottie is survived by her son, Fred P. Little, granddaughter, Mitchelle and great-grandson, Eric of Yuma and grandson Chrystian. Three grandchildren live in the Belleview, WA area, Allen, Ashley, and Anthony; sister, Betty McReynolds of Lake Havasu City, AZ and her children; nephews, John, Vaughn, and Charles White; nieces, Ginger and Grace Ann from Parkersburg, WV; cousins, Bill Halsey and family of Charlotte, NC; cousin, Cliff Keplar of Alabama and cousins, Jane Gaither and Suzanne Keplar in NC and many friends.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, on January 4, 2002 and her son, Bill Little in December 2007.

A memorial service and celebration of Dottie's life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 795 W. 28th St. in Yuma on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Reverend Ray Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in Dottie's name to Hospice of Yuma.
