It is with deep sadness that the Davis Family announces the passing of James W. Davis (JR) who died peacefully at Yuma Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the age of 59. After a very long battle with cancer, his fight is finally over. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and former mechanic.

His loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of the ones he left behind; wife of 40 years, Gloria Davis; daughters, Becky, Laura and Debbie; son/nephew, Gary L Davis (JR); son-in-laws, Dewayne Thomas and Daniel Showman; daughter-in-law/niece: Jennifer Davis; grandchildren, Jonavan, Joslynn, Wesley, Dale, Dezirae, Dylan, Harold (Bear), Sabrina, Kayla, Mary, Laynie and Madison; brother, Gary L. Davis; sister, Connie Pierce; brother-in-law, Frank Pierce; foster brothers, Floyd & Lee Petty; best and dearest friends, Ora & Gloria Turrentine. James is additionally survived by numerous relatives and friends who he loved dearly! We, the family of the late James W. Davis (JR.) are filled with deep appreciation for the expressions of compassion and understanding of our friends and relatives who consoled our hearts during the loss of our loved one. A special thank you goes out to our niece Cindy and her husband Steven Laurel. May God bless each and every one of you for your support!
A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 11711 William St, Wellton by Pastor Charles. We hope you can join us for a celebration of his life. There will be a reception to follow at the Davis home for close family and friends at 31350 East County 12th Street, Wellton.
